DESCRIPTION

Luvent-LC Tablets is a combination of Montelukast Sodium & Levocetirizine

Dihydrochloride.

It has been demonstrated by recent studies that the treatment of Allergic Rhinitis with

concomitant administration of an antileukotriene (montelukast) and an

antihistamine (levocetirizine), shows significantly better symptom relief compared

with the modest improvement of rhinitis symptomatology with each of the

treatments alone.

INDICATIONS

Luvent – LC Tablets are indicated for relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Adults (>15 years):

1 tablet once daily

Amlodipine 5 mg,  Atenolol 50 mg

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker.

It inhibits the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle

without affecting serum calcium concentrations. Direct relaxation of vascular smooth muscle

Forms the basis of the antihypertensive action.

In angina pectoris, amlodipine acts as a peripheral arteriolar vasodilator resulting in a reduction in total peripheral resistance (afterload).

INDICATIONS:

Tengirid is indicated for the: Treatment of angina pectoris.

Treatment of mild to moderate hypertension, alone or in combination with other anti hypertensive’s.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

The recommended dosage is one tablet of Tengirid daily. If necessary, the dosage may be

increased to two tablets daily. The dosage however should be individualized.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to either component, sinus bradycardia, second and higher degrees of heart

block, cardiogenic shock, hypotension and overt cardiac failure.

DESCRIPTION:

Glimepiride

The primary mechanism of action of glimepiride in lowering blood glucose appears to be dependent on

stimulating the release of insulin from functioning pancreatic beta cells. In addition, extra pancreatic effects

may also play a role in the activity of sulphonylureas such as glimepiride.

Metformin

Metformin is an oral antihyperglyacemic drug used in the management of type 2 diabetes. It improves glucose tolerance in patients with type 2 diabetes (NIDDM).

Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, decreases intestinal absorption of glucose, improves

insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Dosage And Administration: 

General Dosage should be individualized on the basis of both effectiveness and tolerance. The combination

should be given once daily with meals and should be started at a low dose. The initial recommended dose

is one tablet once daily with breakfast or first main meal of the day.

Based on the usual starting dose of glimepiride (1-2 mg daily), GLYMON G1 or GLYMON G2 may be

initiated once daily, and gradually titrated after assessing adequacy of therapeutic response.

Based on the usual starting doses of metformin extended release (500 mg once daily), GLYMON G1

or GLYMON G2 may be initiated once daily, and gradually titrated after assessing adequacy of

therapeutic response .

GLYMON G1 or GLYMON G2 may be initiated based on the dose of glimepirde and metformin already

being taken.

Maximum Recommended Dose:

The maximum recommended dose for glimiperide is 8 mg daily. The maximum recommended daily dose

for metformin is 2550 mg in adults.

Contraindications:

Known hypersensitivity to this product or any of its components.

DESCRIPTION :

DIPROCORT-MF ointment contains the active compound clobetasol propionate, a

synthetic corticosteroid and salicylic acid, a keratolytic agent, for topical dermatologic use and

moisturizing factors Urea, Lactic acid & sodium lactate.

Clobetasol is an analog of prednisolone having a high degree of glucocorticoid activity and a slight degree

of mineralocorticoid activity.

Salicylic acid is a keratolytic and antiseptic agent.

ACTIONS :

The mechanism of the anti-inflammatory activity of the topical steroids, in general, is unclear.

It is postulated that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as

prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor, arachidonic acid.

Corticosteroids are also thought to act by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins.

Topical salicylic acid has keratolytic properties as well as bacteriostatic and fungicidal actions.

 

: Topical corticosteroids can be absorbed from normal intact skin. The extent of

percutaneous absorption of topical corticosteroids is determined by many factors, including the vehicle

and the integrity of the epidermal barrier. Inflammation and/or other disease processes in the skin may

increase percutaneous absorption.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

: DIPROCORT-MF Ointment is super-high potency corticosteroid

formulation indicated for the relief of the inflammatory manifestations of hyperkeratotic and dry

corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses such as :

Psoriasis,

Chronic atopic dermatitis,

Neurodermatitis (lichen simplex chronicus),

Levofloxacin is a synthetic antibacterial agent of the fluoroquinolone class and is the S (-) enantiomer

of the racemic drug substance ofloxacin.

Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains:

Levofloxacin Hemihydrate

equivalent to Levofloxacin 500 mg

Indications

Treatment of acute maxillary sinusitis,

Lower respiratory tract infections,

Skin and skin structure infections,

Urinary tract infections,

Acute pyelonephritis and prostatitis.

Dosage and Administration

For the treatment of Acute maxillary sinusitis, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, or

community-acquired pneumonia in adults : 500 mg every 24 hours.

Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections: 500 mg every 24 hours

Complicated skin and skin structure infections : 750 mg every 24 hours.

Uncomplicated urinary tract infection, complicated urinary tract infections, or acute pyelonephritis :

250 mg every 24 hours.

The duration of levofloxacin therapy depends on the type and severity of infection and should be

determined by the clinical and bacteriologic response of the patient. Acute maxillary sinusitis usually

requires 10-14 days of therapy.

Acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis require 7 days;

Community-acquired pneumonia or complicated skin and skin structure infections require 7-14 days of

therapy.

For uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, the usual duration of levofloxacin therapy is 7-10

days.

Uncomplicated urinary tract infections require 3 days of therapy;

Complicated urinary tract infections and acute pyelonephritis usually require 10 days of therapy. Or

As directed by the physician.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin , other quinolones or any of the ingredients in this product

PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:

Levofloxacin tablets are contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
